New Air Jordan 11s "72-10" Inspired by the Greatest NBA Season Ever
Color: Black/Gym Red-White-Anthracite
Style Code: 378037-002
This year's New Air Jordan 11 release will apparently be inspired by the Bulls' legendary 72-10 season. The Air Jordan 11 will have similarities to the Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” but will be featured with Red accents instead of Blue, as well as a iridescent-like glossy patent leather overlay. They’ll feature a thick premium leather upper build (instead of the traditional mesh), much like the prototype sample pair we seen awhile ago, that will sit atop a traditional Air Jordan 11 translucent outsole.
Other details will also include an embossed Jumpman logo on the back heel instead of embroidered, as well as a Blacked out ’23’ on the upper heel, along with the classic rope laces, Black/Red carbon fiber and the numbers “72” and “10” on the lace tips. You can also expect another raise in the retail price tag, as reports have them set for $220 USD. The shoes will come housed in the traditional slide out packaging.
Nike KD 7 On Sale, No surprise here. The Air Jordan 11 “72-10″ will see a full family size run when the patent leather gem releases on December 19th. After a look at this holiday’s Air Jordan 11 packaging last week, the confirmation of kids sizes is a nice addition as we count down the days until we can finally get our hands on a pair. The premium tumbled leather upper is paired with a metallic red pendant instead of the usual stitching, while iridescent qualities land on the patent leather mudguard and matching shoe trees. It’s unclear how many of these premium details will carry over to the smaller size run, as we’ll have to wait and see. With a little over five months to go until the annual Air Jordan 11 holiday release, we already know that we’re in for something truly special. This year’s retro will honor the Chicago Bulls’ historic 72-10 record en route to winning their 4th NBA championship (their first after Mike’s baseball hiatus.) The Air Jordan 11 “72-10″ pair promises to be the most premium Air Jordan XI to-date, and with this the priciest release of a single Air Jordan 11, the packaging reflects the added attention and detail that was used to create this historic sneaker release.Today we get an in depth look at the holiday release’s box, as the slide out packaging returns complete with the carbon fiber inspired tissue paper pattern and translucent plastic XI protective cover.
Shop Air Jordan For Girls, The annual Air Jordan 11 holiday release has become a stressful tradition of making sure you’ve locked down a pair for yourself and any significant family members looking for a bit of 90s nostalgia. Jordan Brand has kept things fairly traditional besides switching up the outsole on the Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” so that icy blue can last longer. This resulted in a name change to “Legend Blue” last year. That, and of course the outlier of the Gamma Blue the year before have been the only noticeable changes to the classicism of the patent leather gem. This year, Jordan Brand will opt for a change of pace to coincide with the legendary 72-10 season in which Mike rocked the Air Jordan XI throughout the year. That Bulls team holds the record for most wins in a single season, and the brand decided to go all out in terms of premium details on this $220 release known as the Air Jordan 11 “72-10″. The cordura fabric is ditched for a buttery black tumbled leather while the normal Jumpman stitching is swapped out for a metallic red metal pendant. Gone is the translucent outsole for a milky white. Other faint details include ’72-10′ on the lace tips and a nice homage to the achievement on the inner tongue lining.
